Hi, I’m Lynn Sheeler of L.L. Sheeler Design. I have been working in the marketing communications field for a long time. I started out using exacto knives and repitograph pens. To create artwork for reproduction in those days was an art form all of its own. I still remember buying my first Mac. I wanted a large monitor so I got a 21″ B&W because I couldn’t afford color. $10,000. Oh my!
My first job while going to school was a company that made rubber dies for printing on corrugated cardboard. Mostly all done by hand. We did start to photoetch some of the art before I left that company. Next up was working in a typehouse. Type was set on word processors and output photographically on sheets of paper. I was a production artist and took that type to produced paste ups for the printer, who would make negatives to produce the printing plates.
Moving on I got a job in a design studio. Worked with and learned a lot about designing marketing materials from some very talented people. Then I went to an advertising agency which sent me on my independent career when I was laid off after they lost a very large client. I’ve never really looked back.
At one point I partnered up and started Ciavolino & Sheeler. Websites were brand new. It was 1 line in our business plan and became 90% of our business.
As I say on the “About” page, Sheeler Design is a graphic design and marketing communications firm, focusing primarily on identity programs, websites and printed collateral materials for small to mid-sized companies.
As you can see I have a lot of experience with which I can help you with any marketing project you may have. Contact me or call me, 410. 775.6693. Let’s talk!
